A woman had to be rescued by firefighters after she was trapped following a crash.
Crews from Basildon and Hawkwell were called to Whitmore Way in Basildon around 2.20pm yesterday (Sunday, October 10) amid reports of a collision.
Three vehicles were involved and one woman was stuck inside one of the cars.
Firefighters worked for an hour to free her before leaving her in the care of paramedics.
A spokesman for the fire service said the woman was both concious and breathing when they rescued her.
