SOUTHEND has some pretty special views over the Estuary in the summer, and plenty of attractions for all the ages too.

But the town also is home to some top notch properties too, with some showcasing those unbelievable views.

It might set you back a few quid, and burn a hole in your pocket, but we've compiled a list of just some of the most expensive homes across Southend, according to Rightmove.

The most expensive property in the town, is actually a block of flats in Leigh.

  • The block of apartments on London Road could be yours for a huge £2,950,000.
  • The number of flats inside is not specified, but "further modernisation" of the building is recommended.
  • If you choose to make the flats your own, it could make you a tempting £250,000 a year, once all the apartments are yours.
  • The building features a large car park, with access from Elmsleigh Drive, alongside outdoor space on the first floor terrace

Next on the list of pricey properties, is a five-bedroom house in Thorpe Bay, found on Thorpe Bay Gardens.

  • This glorious home will cost you £1,995,000, but it sure is worth it.
  • As well as the bedrooms, five bathrooms, four reception rooms, and three balconies all come with the three-storey home.
  • And those views we mentioned? There's plenty to feast your eyes on.
  • A CCTV system and an internal garage come alongside outside parking for several cars.

Just down the road is another huge property for sale on Thorpe Bay Gardens.

  • In roughly the same ball park, you'll need to cough up £1,750,000 to make this yours.
  • A home designed for a family with five bedrooms and a superb garden, comes with its very own water feature.
  • The master bedroom is equipped with a balcony too, which sits looking out over the water.
  • Four reception rooms and a double garage are also included.

And last on our list is a Westcliff home, which will set you back £1,700,000.

  • Situated on Esplanade Gardens, there's plenty of parking, which should help the potential new owners of this five-bedroom home.
  • Four bathrooms and a modern kitchen can all be found inside.
  • The home boasts glorious sea views, and comes with two south facing balconies.
