It's been another busy period in the south Essex magistrates courts.
From driver offences to harassment the courts have been busy again.
A MAN appeared in court charged with harassing another man Stuart Wilson, 49, of Rayleigh Road, Benfleet, was charged with harassment without violence.
He appeared in Basildon Magistrates Court on October 11 and between December 5 and January 17 in Benfleet he pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of the man.
He was making phone calls and leaving voice messages on his phone having been asked not to contact him.
He's been remanded on bail for a pre- sentence report to be prepared.
A MOTORIST has been sent for trial after allegedly driving over the limit.
Clark King, 24, of Westbourne Drive, Brentwood, appeared in Basildon Magistrates Court on October 11 charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit.
It's alleged to have happened in Melbourne Road, Chelmsford in April.
He denied the charges are was remanded on unconditional bail until January for a trial in Chelmsford Magistrates Court.

A DRIVER appeared in court after using a mobile while behind the wheel after hearing his father could be dying.
Neil Marney, 52, of St. Johns Drive, Rayleigh, was in Basildon Magistrates Court on October 11 charged with use of a handheld mobile phone and or device while driving a motor vehicle on a road.
It happened last October in London Road, Rayleigh.
There was no endorsement on his licence due to extenuating circumstances, the call was only taken in a moment of panic whilst car was stationary at traffic lights purely as a result of a heightened anxiousness and distress about his father who was dying at the time of the offence.
The court heard it was discovered his father was ok, the call was immediately terminated, very short call fuelled by understandable anxiousness.
He was fined £700, ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
A father has been fined more than £100 after his child did not attend school.
Mark Morrissey, 47, of London Road, Grays, appeared in Southend Magistrates Court on October 11 charged with parent knowingly child not attending failed to ensure regular attendance at school.
Between March and July his daughter was failing to attend Harris Academy Riverside, failed without reasonable justification
He was discharged conditionally for 12 months. and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £22, and ordered to pay costs of £125.
