POLICE have launched a desperate appeal to find the family of a girl taken to hospital following a serious crash in Laindon.
Essex officers were called to a collision in Staneway, Laindon, at 6.45pm this evening.
Police say they found a teenage girl and a car had been involved in the incident.
The teenage girl has been taken to hospital.
The force says "despite many attempts – and exploring all avenues – we have not been able to ascertain her identity and it is now a force priority to locate her family".
She is white and is wearing a black puffer jacket with fur, a pair of tracksuit bottoms with the logo ‘Madrid’ written on the sides and a pair of orange Nike Air trainers.
She also had a skateboard with her with a ‘No Fear’ logo on the foot side of the board. Underneath, it is multi-coloured with white wheels.
Anyone who recognises the description of the girl should contact police immediately on 101 and cite incident 996 of Sunday, October 24.
