Thousands headed along to Southend seafront to enjoy the town's first ever Halloween parade.
The event featured a procession, street theatre drummers, dancing, a lights display and ended with a spectacular fireworks display hosted by Southend BID.
Community groups taking part in the event dressed up for the occassion, with the likes of the Ghostbusters and Pennywise the clown making an appearance.
Active Southend was among those to hail the parade a success, tweeting: "What a fantastic Halloween parade in Southend tonight.
"Well done Southend Council and Southend Bid for putting on such a wonderful display.
"Fantastic to see our town so busy again, brilliant event, thank you to everyone involved."
Extinction Rebellion were also involved in the procession during the evening, with its band of planet-mourners aiming to highlight the problem of climate change ahead of climate summit taking place in Glasgow from today.
