A salesman who travelled more than 250 miles to go door knocking during the lockdown has been fined.
Jamie Drury, 35, had travelled down from Middlesbrough to Benfleet in an attempt to carry out door-to-door sales on February 16.
He was stopped by police in Mill Hill and found to be in breach of Covid rules as he did not have a reasonable excuse to be outside his local area.
