Several roads in Southend will be closed tomorrow for the remembrance service.
The service is due to be held between 10am and 11.30am and will see a procession take place.
Those taking part will be holding a two-minutes silence at the cenotaph in the Cliff Gardens, Clifftown Parade.
Council bosses have announced a number of roads in Southend will be closed for the duration of the service.
They are:
• Clifftown Parade from Devereux Road and its junction with Wilson Road
• Westcliff Parade from its junction Wilson Road to its junction with Westcliff Avenue
• Wilson Road from its junction from Westcliff Parade to the junction with Alexandra Street
• Prittlewell Square both ends at the junction with Alexandra Road
• Marine Avenue from Westcliff Parade to the junction with Tower Court Mews
A spokesman said: “These closures will be lifted once the service has completed, and all attendees have left the area and will be clearly signposted.
“Any cars found parked within the closures will be lifted to Alexandra Road, so please ensure all cars are removed from the closure areas ahead of the service.”
