A murder investigation is underway after a woman who was seriously injured after falling from a tower block in Southend has died in hospital.
Police were called to concerns for a woman in Bewley Court shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday, November 10.
When they arrived they found a woman in her 20s who had sustained serious injuries having fallen from a height.
She was taken to hospital but police have now confirmed she died there yesterday (Monday, November 15).

A police spokesman said: "Following her death, our investigation is now a murder inquiry.
"A 26 year-old man was arrested following the incident on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently on bail.
"We are continuing to appeal for anyone who saw or heard anything or has any information about what happened."
