A TEENAGE boy is due in court today charged with kidnap and possession of a firearm.

The boy, 17, who was arrested when armed police executed warrant at an address in Shoebury yesterday, will appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, November 18).

He has been charged in connection with an incident which occurred on Friday, November 5 in Shoebury, Essex Police has said.

He has been charged with kidnap, robbery, blackmail, possession of knife/bladed article and possession of firearm offences.

Four other people have been charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Southend on sea Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 15.

A 17-year-old from Southend was charged with possession of knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of Class B drug, robbery and blackmail. He has been remanded.

Telmo Cangoma, 18 of Bellevue Road, Southend, was charged with kidnap, conspire to supply Class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin), robbery, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, of knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place and blackmail.

Joedecie Davey, 18, of Philpott Avenue, Southend, was charged with kidnap, robbery, conspire to supply Class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin) and conspire to kidnap.

Amanda Horsfield, 55, of Alton Gardens, Southend, was charged with Kidnap, robbery, possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device/thing and possession of a controlled drug Class B.

All four have been remanded in custody to appear at Basildon Crown Court on December 13.
