THREE more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Terry Leaks in Basildon.

Terry, 46, died after he was assaulted in Northlands Park in the early hours of July 11.

Essex Police says officers arrested an 18 year-old man and a 15 year-old boy, both from Basildon, on Tuesday morning on suspicion of murder.

They have both since been released under investigation.

A 19 year-old man was arrested this morning, also on suspicion of murder, and he is currently in custody.

A police spokesman said: "We are continuing to appeal for information about Terry’s death and need anyone with any information to come forward."

Independent charity Crimestoppers is still offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Terry’s death.

Today’s arrest means a total of 12 people have now been arrested on suspicion of Terry’s murder.

Four of them – a 17 year-old boy, two men aged 40 and 46, and a 42 year-old woman – are on bail or released under investigation.

Five others – two men aged 40 and 46, a 15 year-old boy, and a 14 year-old girl - have all been told they face no further action.

A 20 year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has also been told she faces no further action.
