A DEALER who was caught carrying class B drugs in Southend has avoided immediate jail time.
Brendan Clark-Thompson, 23, was found in possession of cannabis by police back on June 1 last year.
He admitted a charge of possession with intent to supply during a hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court in September.
Clark-Thompson, of Queens Road, Southend, was sentenced at the same court last week where he was handed 26-weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.

His guilty plea and the ‘realistic prospect of rehabilitation’ were behind the magistrate’s decision not to send him straight to prison.
Clark-Thompson was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122 and Crown Prosecution Service costs of £145.
