• A Southend man has been fined after speeding in Lancashire.

Viorel Radiez, 29, of Old Southend Road, Southend was charged with exceed a 40 mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order.

On April 5 at Blackburn in the county of Lancashire he drove a motor vehicle, namely VW index LM59ZDN, on a road, namely B6232 Haslingden Rd/Elton Rd between the western end of Belthorn Rd and near to the Pack Restaurant,, Eastbound.

He was Fined £220.00, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34m, costs of £90, and Disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month.

Fred Ninel, 53, of Long Riding, Basildon, appeared in Stratford Magistrates' Court on October 25 charged with exceeding a 20 mph speed limit in contravention of an automatic camera device.

On October 27 in Westminster he drove a Volvo B7ECH, on the A3212 where there was a speed limit of 20mph and the speed recorded was 25 mph.

The court heard the defendant would lose his job, livelihood and would suffer a detrimental impact due to the current circumstances of Covid if he was disqualified from driving.

He was fined £200, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, costs of £100 and his driving record was endorsed with 3 points Ashley Mathers, 38, of Cunningham Close, Shoebury was charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

On August 20 in Westcliff in Chalkwell Park he was guilty, while drunk, of disorderly behaviour.

He's been remanded on unconditional bail until December 23 at Southend Magistrates Court and the Adjournment reason is to tie up with other cases. Defendant to attend.
