A WOMAN has been arrested as police investigate a Shoebury burglary which saw an 11-month old puppy stolen from a home. 

Masked raiders broke into the home to steal the XL American Bully, named Queenie on Monday. 

CCTV footage shows two masked raiders scale a garden fence before pulling the dog by her collar from the home, near Shoebury Park. 

Owner Jude Moore, 26, is now appealing for anyone with information to come forward to assist the police investigation.

A woman has now been arrested in connection with the incident, although the dog has not been recovered. 

An Essex Police spokesman confirmed a woman was arrested in relation to the incident. 

They said: “A woman has been arrested at an address in Romford in connection with a burglary which took place in Shoebury.

“Between 8.15am and 10.10am on Monday November 22, two people entered a home through a back door and stole a large brown and cream American XL Bully dog from the property.

“They left the area with the dog in a 4x4-style vehicle.  A woman was arrested this afternoon in connection with the incident. She will be questioned on suspicion of burglary.  

“The victims are being kept up to date with our enquiries. Anyone with information or doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage of the area between 8.15am and 10.10am on Monday should call us immediately on 101 and cite incident 407 of November 22.

Jude’s post on Facebook pleading for help it got close to 40,000 shares as part of efforts to track down Queenie. 

He said: “We were out walking our other dog, and our 11-month-old Bully was home alone, within five minutes of us leaving, a car has pulled up and two men with high vis have got out.

“They started snooping around the garden, before entering our house.

“The dog has tried to hide in the cabinet scratching away, but they have grabbed her with such a force, some of her fur has fallen out.

“She was so scared - it is just sickening.”
