A 19 year-old woman has admitted causing a collision which left another teenager in a life-threatening condition.
Our officers responded to reports a black Ford Fiesta had left Creeksea Ferry Road in Canewdon at around 1.50am on Saturday 3 April and had come to stop in a ditch.
An 18 year-old woman sustained injuries which left her in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the car, Louisse Chism, of Broomfield Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea was arrested and later charged.
Appearing at Basildon Crown Court on 25 November she admitted:
• Causing serious injury by dangerous driving;
• Failing to stop following a collision;
• Failing to report a collision;
• Driving without insurance;
• Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
She is due to be sentenced at the same court on 10 January
