A MAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a collision in Southend yesterday.

Police were called to Queensway in Southend just after 5pm to reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

They arrived to find a man had suffered serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

No arrests were made but an investigation into the incident is ongoing, police have said.
