Road set to close next week - for 47 consecutive days
A road on Canvey will be closed for 47 consecutive days when gas works get underway next week.
Norton Avenue will be closed from Monday until January 21 as Cadent replaces a gas main.
A diversion will be in place along neighbouring Temptin Avenue.
Cadent has also been carrying out roadworks on Hallet Road, which is based to the other side of Norton Avenue.
Road closures have been needed during the works, which began in mid November and are due to continue for at least another week.
