The magistrates have been busy again with a range of cases from alleged frauds to drug offences.

Here's our latest round up of the cases in the south Essex magistrates.

Ronald Manyere, 33, of Ramuz Drive, Westcliff appeared in court charged with a number of counts of fraud.

He was charged with fraud after on October 23 2018 in Southend he allegedly committed fraud in that he dishonestly made a false representation, namely free bagging and refunds without receiving goods, intending to cause loss to or to expose that person to a risk of loss of £334.

He's been remanded on unconditional bail until December 7 at Basildon Magistrates Court and the adjournment reason is for plea and the defendant is to attend.

Another charge of fraud comes after on October 25 in 2018 in Southend he allegedly committed fraud in that he dishonestly made a false representation, namely free bagging and refunds without receiving goods, intending to cause loss to or to expose that person to a risk of loss of £326.80.

He's been remanded on unconditional until the same date, at the same court for the same reason.

He's also charged with fraud and the particulars of the offence are that, on October 30 in Southend he committed fraud in that he dishonestly made a false representation, namely Freebaging and refunding goods that were not returned, intending to cause loss to or to expose that person to a risk of loss of £974.98.

He's been remanded on unconditional bail until until the same date, at the same court for the same reason.

The last charge of fraud, and the particulars of the offence are that on November 2 2018, in Southend he committed fraud in that he dishonestly made a false representation, namely Freebaging and refunding goods that were not returned, intending to cause loss to or to expose that person to a risk of loss of £263.98.

He's been remanded on unconditional bail until until the same date, at the same court for the same reason.

Bobby Rumball, 62, of First Avenue, Westcliff appeared in court charged with harassment. It is alleged between December 12 2019 and December 23 2019 in Southend he pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman and which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in that December 12 2019 he allegedly shouted racial abuse towards he at her place of work, on December 19 and 22 he allegedly shouted racial abuse outside her home, and the offence was racially aggravated.

He denied the offence and has been remanded on unconditional bail until February 11 2022 at Southend Magistrates Court for the trial.

Brogan Morgan, 21, of Poppy Gardens, Basildon appeared in magistrates court charged with attempting to break into a property and burglary. It is alleged that on September 4 in Basildon he attempted to enter as a trespasser a home in Boterlers, Basildon with intent to steal therein. The matter was sent for trial to Basildon Crown Court on December 7 or such other date, time or place as the Crown Court directs, in custody.

It is also alleged that on September 17 in Basildon having entered as a trespasser at a home in Gobions, stole therein BMW 4 series keys and vehicle, keys for a FORD FOCUS, driving licence, Natwest bank cards, wallet containing £40-50 to the value of unknown. This matter was also sent to trial at the same court on the same day.

Ronny Kirk, 16, was charged with possession of cannabis.

The teenager was charged after on September 10 in Benfleet they had in their possession a quantity of cannabis.

They admitted it and was referred to Basildon youth offender panel for a contract having effect for 3 months. Total contract period 3 months.

They parent or guardian Kirsty Stewart must attend meetings of the youth offender panel.

The teenager was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £22, costs of £30 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
