A shoplifter who stole bottles of spirits worth hundreds from an Asda store has been handed a community order.
Gary Wildman, 38, of Victoria Road, Southend appeared in court charged with theft.
On October 3 he stole 2 bottles of Grey Goose vodka, 1 bottle of Glenfiddich whiskey and 1 bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, to the value of £209, belonging to Asda in Shoebury.
A community order was made and the defendant must comply with the following requirements by November 19: A maximum of 30 days rehabilitation activity requirement and carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next twelve months. This work will be supervised by the responsible officer.
On September 8 he stole two bottles of whiskey and two bottles of Remi Martin, to the value of £180, from Asda in Shoebury.
He was handed a community order with the same terms and requirements and ordered to pay compensation of £180.
