A COMMUTER has been ordered to pay hundreds after using a train without buying a ticket.
David Knight, 38, of York Road, Southend charged with boarding a train in non compulsory ticket area without a valid ticket - railway bye-law On June 25 at Rochford and Southend Victoria stations, not being in a designated compulsory ticket area, he entered a train for the purpose of travelling without having with you a valid ticket entitling you to travel.
It was proved in his absence and he was fined £220, and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, costs of £150.
