AN 83-year-old man who died following a collision in Essex last week has now been named by police.
Essex Police responded to reports of a single vehicle collision involving a Vauxhall Crossland at about 7.40am last Monday.
The fatal incident took place on the B1508 in West Bergholt, at the junction with Vinesse Road, leading to Bures.
Sadly, the driver of the car, 83-year-old John Sambrook, died at the scene.
Essex Police says it continues to investigate the incident and has appealed for dash cam footage.
A spokesman said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision and ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident comes forward.
“If you were in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage of the incident, please contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.”
