A MAN called ‘English-Independence HANG-MURDERERS’ has announced he will stand in the Southend West by-election.

Neil Humphrey, who has changed his name by deed poll for the election, said he is standing as part of his ongoing protest against censorship and ‘cancel culture’.

And he compared the lack of coverage given to his political campaigns to the worst elements of Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia.

He said: “This is a scary, slippery slope towards no democracy, only 100 years after poor people got the vote. Women have another seven years to wait for their anniversary.

“We like to think democracy is established, but its in danger - more so in a world where posting on the internet, having your website is easy - but the media can chose to ignore in concert. That is the scary part.

“Worse, I have detected that Liberal Democrats and Conservative hacktivists had been conspiring to remove Wikipedia references to minor, rival parties. You can never get the publicity to grow your campaign, let people find out what your policies are. You are simply ‘erased’ if you don’t have big funding to afford adverts.

“You’d think this was Hitler’s Third Reich or Soviet Stalinism at its worst. Not only are the Commission biased against the English, like Darren Grimes, it takes the risk of an expensive court case to expose their bad behaviour.”

Southend West was the seat of Conservative MP David Amess before he was killed in October.

The by-election is expected to take place next month, and other mainstream political parties will not be standing against Conservative Anna Firth. However, UKIP and the English Constitution Party have both announced plans to stand.

John Lamb, who is a former Mayor of Southend, described Mr HANG-MURDERERS as “an outlandish candidate with no common sense”.

He added: “What are his policies? From the sound of it he has none, other than ‘Hang people’ and so on. Some people will agree with that as an idea, but here it seems to be a catchphrase rather than a policy.

“This just shows the nonsense that goes on with some individuals.”
