POLICE are appealing for witnesses after thousands of pounds was stolen from pick-up truck driver that was assalted near Sadlers Farm.
The incident, that occured on the A130 between Sadler’s Farm and the Fairglen Interchange, was shortly before 1.15pm on January, 10.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following reports of a robbery on the A130 between Sadler’s Farm and the Fairglen Interchange.
"Our officers were contacted shortly before 1.15pm on Monday 10 January to reports a pickup truck had been forced to stop by two vans.
"The driver of the pickup truck was assaulted and a bag containing a four figure sum of cash and phone was taken. He was not seriously injured.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and we are particularly keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage.
"Please contact 101 citing incident 541 of January 10."
