A second man has been charged with the murder of Dwayne Forrester.

Mr Forrester, 21, died from injuries he sustained in an incident in Little Garth, Pitsea back in July 2018.

A hearing took place at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, January 12) where twenty-five year-old Jeffrey Goodwin, formerly of Russell Road, London E16 was formally charged with murder.

He is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Friday, January 14.

Another man, 24 year-old Hayden Line, of Esmond Close, Rainham, has already been charged with Dwayne’s murder.

He is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court for a pre-trial preparation hearing on April 4.

A provisional trial date has been set for December 5.

Essex Police says detectives have carried out an extensive investigation including taking 400 statements, seizing 820 exhibits, and viewing more than 180 hours of CCTV footage.
