HEARTFELT tributes have been pouring in for Gary Billings who has died.

The father, 37, went missing shortly after 1pm on Saturday, January 8 from the Whitmore Way area.

Essex Police have since confirmed they located the body of a man that has tragically been identified as Mr Billings.

Heartbreaking tributes have since been pouring in for the much loved Basildon man.

Kerrie Ashpole, best friend and the mother to Gary's daughter Isla, said: “I only wish you knew how loved you are! You was my best friend and islas daddy! Don't worry gaz, I'm gonna stay strong for our baby girl! I promise you she will always remember you the happy man you always was. Love you lots gazza.”

Daniel Bristow said: “I can’t believe such a good man like Gary has gone from this world, my thoughts go out to Gary’s family and friends on this terrible time. RIP Gary.”

Nancy Ward said: “I only knew you socially, but it was an honour to have known you, always smiling and full of laughter, the biggest condolences to his family, daughter and his friends, your smile will be missed”

Stuart Cooper said: “Can't believe we will not see your infectious smile and hear your banter. We will miss you my good friend and we will see you in heaven G.”

The Mayor of Basildon David Dadds also tweeted his condolences: “My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with the family and friends of Gary Billings at this time.”

Adam Balcombe said: “Hey man even though I haven’t seen you since school I always remember you as one of the good guys! Always pleasant polite and friendly, it’s a shock to see your light go out and it’s apparent how loved you really were. Rest in peace now buddy and thoughts and care goes for the ones you have left behind.”
