Motorists are facing long delays on the A13 this afternoon due to a crash.
Four vehicles are said to have been involved in the incident, which happened just after the Five Bells interchange.
The Londonbound carriageway is blocked as a result.
Long queues have formed in both directions.
Londonbound traffic is queuebing back to the Pitsea bypass, while Southend-bound queues strecth back to Stanford le Hope.

First Essex is reporting delays to some services as a result of the collision.

There has been a road traffic accident on the A13, London-Bound, South of Basildon.
