A CHILD is in hospital after being hit by a car this morning in Shoebury.
The emergency services were in attendance at approximately 9am this morning.
The young girl has since been transferred to Southend Hospital for assessment and treatment.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to Delaware Road just before 9am this morning after reports that a child had been hit by a car.
"An ambulance and senior paramedic in a support vehicle were quickly on the scene.
"A young girl was transported to Southend University Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
