POLICE are appealing for a woman who helped a teenager following a collision in Southend to contact them.

It comes after a a small white vehicle collided with a teenager at around 3.35pm on Monday, January 10.

The incident occurred at the junction of Southchurch Road and Bournemouth Park Road.

A woman passer-by stopped to help the boy and ended up walking him home.

The boy later went to hospital suffering concussion and other injuries not considered to be life changing.

PC Tina Quinlivan, Chigwell Roads Policing Unit, investigating, said: “We would like to speak to the woman who kindly helped the boy after the collision, to contact us, to help us understand what happened that day.

“It was reported that the vehicle concerned was a marked driving school vehicle and we would ask that the people in the vehicle that day also come forward to help our investigation.

“Anyone who was driving in the area at the time and may have captured something relevant to our investigation on their dash cam, should also contact us.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage is also asked to contact PC Quinlivan on 101 quoting incident 735 of January 10.
