IT was on her daily commute from Chalkwell that Deborah White started taking photos of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Deborah said: “I loved leaving the house and walking to the station and stopping to take a photo of the breathtaking sunrises each morning. It made me really appreciate what a beautiful place I live in.”
During lockdown she enjoyed getting out to take photos in the local area during her lunch break while working from home.
“I love to jog and walk and being in fresh air, I often capture images on my phone as well as on my Canon and my partner’s Nikon,” says Deborah.
“I am part of different photography forums, and I am always looking to create something a bit different. I am not a fan of Photoshop. I like the natural look.
There are so many beautiful colours in a sunset, why add more blue and purple?”
Deborah, who works in financial service, has been interested in photography for more than 25 years.
“I was first inspired to get into photography when I learned how to develop and print my own images from film in the darkroom back in art college days. More recently it is the ever-changing colours and light by the Estuary that inspires me.”
Her photography has featured in the Southend Art Trail, the Rochford Art Trail, in Utopia Café in Southend, Little Known Studio in Leigh and at the Beecroft in Southend.
