A WOMAN has died following a collision in Essex yesterday.
Police say a female pedestrian, aged in her 50s, was killed when she was struck by a car.
Officers and paramedics were called to incident in London Road, Abridge, around 6.20pm yesterday but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 61-year-old man from Ongar was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
He remains in custody for questioning.

An Essex Police spoeksman said: "We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to contact us.

"Please quote incident 933 of 20 January.
