A NURSERY in Rochford has been rated “outstanding” in their most recent Ofsted inspection.
The Wishing Well Day Nursery received “outstanding” in every single area of the inspection.
The areas included were: the quality of education, the behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and overall effectiveness at previous inspection.
The nursery was inspected on December 10, 2021, with results being published yesterday.
In the report it stated “children are extremely excited and keen learners.
“They part from their parents and carers confidently when they are greeted at the nursery door by happy, friendly staff.
“Children are extremely well behaved and understand the nursery rules.”
When The Wishing Well Day Nursery had their last inspection in August 2017, they also received “outstanding”.
It is a full day care nursery for children aged zero to four, with around 95 children on roll at time of inspection.
The report also stated that during Covid-19 lockdowns they provided ideas and support for home learning to parents.
“During the Covid-19 lockdowns, staff and managers kept in regular contact with all families who were not able to attend the nursery.
“They provided ideas for home learning and supported parents through this difficult time and on return to normal nursery life, staff based their planning on helping children to settle and feel confident to leave their parents.
“Parents comment on the excellent methods staff and managers use to communicate with them, which includes social media, emails, telephone calls and face-to-face discussion at drop-off and collection times.”
The nursery is based at the Boulevard in Rochford and was originally registered in 2008.
Safeguarding was another point the Ofsted inspection said was effective and robust.
The report stated: “The arrangements for safeguarding are effecting and are robust.
“All staff and managers demonstrate an extremely thorough understanding of how to safeguard the children in their care and they regularly update their safeguarding knowledge through training, quizzes, staff meetings and research.”
