A man has been quizzed by police in connection anti social behaviour and sniffing lighter gas.

The 50 was arrested on Friday morning in Hamlet Court Road in Westcliff.

Officers from the Essex Police Operation Support Group tweeted about the incident and shared images too.

A spokesman said: "We have arrested a 50 year old man for breach of CBO in Hamlet Court Road in Westcliff following numerous reports of ASB and abuse of butane substances.

"Despite dropping 4 cans when he stood up, the man was still surprised to be arrested."

Essex Police says the man has since been released under investigation.

A spokesman for the force said: "Officers from our Operational Support Group, carrying out hot spot patrols in Westcliff, arrested a man in Hamlet Court Road "A 50 year-old man from Westcliff was arrested on suspicion of breaching a criminal behaviour order. He has been released under investigation."
