A MAN who failed to provide a coronavirus test result upon his return to England has been ordered to pay more than £2,000.

Rana Iqbal, 50, flew into Heathrow Airport on March 11 last year but did not have a Covid testing kit with him.

He was charged with breaching coronavirus regulations which were in place at the time.

Iqbal, of Glenmere, Basildon, was handed a £1,760 fine during a hearing at Greater Manchester Magistrates Court on Monday.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £176 and costs of £90.
