Basildon star Denise van Outen has been announced as a judge for a live tour version of popular TV show the Masked Singer.

The presenter, 47, appeared as Fox in the first series of the show two years ago.

The show sees celebrities perform to a studio audience all while dressed in costumes disguising their identity.

The audience then vote to save their favourites.

It will now have a UK arena tour which starts later this year.

The show’s presenter Joel Dommett will be joined by Denise and Aston Merrygold as guest judges.

Denise is no stranger to the show after her time as Fox on series one.

Speaking after her appearance she admitted she had signed up instantly.

She said: “I watched the Australian version so I knew how it gripped viewers. I think I was probably the first to say yes to it.

“It’s really nice as a performer… that they’re not going to rip you to shreds.”

The tour kicks off in Liverpool on April 2.

It will be at venues including London’s O2 Arena, Birmingham Utilita Arena and Wembley Arena.

People can book via Ticketmaster with tickets starting at £25.
