One in three petrol stations across the south of the country have been forced to shut due to oil protests, a campaign group has claimed.
Demonstrations have been held protests at oil depot sites across Thurrock and the rest of the UK over the past few weeks.
Now, Fair Fuel UK Campaign says it has ‘credible intelligence’ that one in three stations in southern England have run out of petrol and or diesel, due to Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion protests.

Over the weekend Essex Police said, days of “exceptionally dangerous” fuel protests put activists and officers at “unacceptable” risk of harm.
It came as the number of arrests are set to top 350, Essex Police have said.
Around 1,200 pumps south of the midlands have been forced to turn away motorists, the Campaign for Fair Fuel has claimed, in the wake of the action by Just Stop Oil.
The eco protestors have been targeting oil terminals across the south of the country, including in Hertfordshire, Essex and Warwickshire by locking themselves to pipes.
It comes after more than 20 protesters arrived at Exolum Storage in Grays on Sunday morning.
