DRIVERS who filmed an incident this morning in Thurrock have been fined by police.
Officers were dishing out tickets to drivers who were taking their eyes of the road and hands of the wheel to use their mobile phones to film a incident as they passed.
It is against the law to use your mobile phone, for any reason, while driving.
An Essex Police spokesman said; “Whilst dealing with an incident in Thurrock this morning a number of drivers have decided to use their mobile phones whilst driving past to film the incident. We are issuing tickets to the drivers because this is simply unacceptable. Please stay off the phone!”
