The Dartford Crossing has now reopened after police were called to a scene of an incident.
Essex Police officers were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman near the Dartford River Crossing shortly after 10am this morning.
The crossing was closed while the incident was being dealt with.
Traffic was also being held on the crossing.
During the incident, National Highways were facilitating a diversion through one of the tunnels.
