A MAN was headbutted and punched and a woman pushed to the ground following an argument in a pub.

Essex Police are only now appealing for witnesses to come forward following the assault in the Shoeburyness Hotel on February 27.

A man in his 40s was headbutted and punched by two men at around 8.50pm, police have said.

A woman was also pushed to the ground during the attack which reportedly followed an argument between the victim and the men.

It was also reported that during this disturbance a large number of people inside the venue also become involved.

Police described the first man who is wanted for questioning as white, in his 50s, 5ft 11ins tall, of stocky build, with short, dark hair and wearing a short jacket, trousers, and trainers.

The second man is described as white, in his 30s, 6ft tall and slim, with a tattoo on his neck and wearing a baseball cap, a white top with ‘EA7’ across the chest and ‘EMPORIO ARMANI’ underneath it, skinny jeans, and white trainers.
