DRIVERS are facing delays near Basildon this morning after an HGV got stuck underneath the A127.

The vehicle has become wedged under a bridge at the Noak Bridge junction.

Queues have formed on both Upper Mayne and Wash Road as a result.

It is understood the collision is not affecting traffic on the A127.

First Essex says there are delays to some of its services as a result of the incident.

It said on Twitter: "Due to an obstruction at the underpass of the A127 our 300 services are currently unable to serve Barleysland, Noak Bridge and Pipps Hill until further notice.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused."
