DRIVERS are facing long delays on the A127 this evening amid reports of crashes on both sides of the road.
The eastbound carriageway is reportedly closed due to a collision involving multiple vehicles at Rayleigh Weir.
The closure is in place at the A129 junction and queues have formed around five miles back to Nevendon.
AA's live traffic map says motorists should expect 38 minute delays.
One lane on the Londonbound side is also closed due to a separate crash.
This is causing delays with queues reaching as far back as the Pound Wood Nature Reserve.
