“I am sad that it is closing, and feel a wide mix of emotions. Of course it is sad but so many positives have come out from this past year.

“It has been the hardest and most amazing thing I have ever done, and I can’t thank the support of my regular customers and local community for all their support over the past year.

“It is the end of an era, but I am glad I did it, especially with the amazing staff I had working alongside me.”

The Sandwich-On-Sea shop was popular ever since it opened, with many regular customers.

The store is not closing due to the impact of the pandemic, but due to Miss Stewart deciding it was time for a new adventure.

However, she has invited residents done to come and celebrate the past year with her and enjoy a sandwich on their last day open this weekend.

She said: “I would love to see as many faces as possible on Saturday as without our customers and the community we wouldn’t have made it this far.

“We opened during the pandemic and given such a tough time everyone had, we all pulled through together and the support of the local community has been second to none.

“I will always be grateful for this opportunity and won’t ever forget this time in my life.

“But it is now time for a new adventure.”
