A VEHICLE came within inches of smashing into a house after it flipped over following a crash.
Remarkably no-one was seriously hurt in the collision earlier this morning.
Rochford Fire Station shared a photo of what appears to be a van or lorry which had flipped over after colliding with another vehicle.
It can be seen lying perilously close to a house and car sat outside.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Rochford just after 8.30pm this morning.
Police were forced to close both Gore Road and Stambridge Road to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
Firefighters had to free one person who was trapped inside one of the crashed vehicles and UK Power Networks was also called to make the scene safe.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We arrived alongside colleagues in the fire service and the ambulance service as the incident was dealt with.
"Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
"The road was re-opened shortly before midday."
UK Power Networks said engineers were sent to carry out safety checks but no equipment was damaged in the collision.
