A “CAMPAIGN of bullying” aimed at two schoolchildren has seen them physically and verbally abused, with footage of incidents shared across social media, according to their furious parents.

Two dads have contacted the Echo to reveal the abuse their children have received while attending the James Hornsby School in Basildon, insisting the school has failed to take action.

The two Year Seven children, who are close friends, have allegedly been subject to months of bullying, both on the school site and while travelling to and from Leinster Road school.

The school declined to comment on the allegations, but pointed to its most recent Ofsted inspection last year which stated “bullying is dealt with effectively”.

Both families are now contacting Essex Police.

One of the parents said: “It is happening on a daily basis - all the school have then been doing is putting the bullies in isolation for a day, that is it.

“There are videos of these girls trying to jump my daughter on social media, and on Thursday she phoned me crying, saying they are coming for me.

“I left work and run as fast as I could to pick her up, but it still continues, no one is trying to stop it.

“I am heartbroken and angry. It is terrifying every time I get a phone call, my heart races, worrying if something has happened.

“The school to me don’t seem to care, or do anything, me and the other dad are at a loss of what to do, something will happen and then it will be too late.”

The other dad claims his son was beaten on school grounds, coming home covered in bruises.

He said: “It makes me feel sick, I generally feel sick at 3pm every day worrying if something has happened.

“It is heart-breaking, but I will end up getting myself in trouble because it is my son, I will stick up for my son, when the school take no notice to help.

“He was beaten by a group of girls at school, he had bruises all over his body, they troll him on TikTok, I really don’t know what to do.

“They’ve spat at him, threaten to stab them when walking home from school.

“It is endless.”
