The magistrates courts have been busy again with lots of driving offences cases among other hearings.

Here's our latest round of cases in front of the south Essex magistrates.

Colin Alexander, 57, of Harridge Road, Leigh was in court over driving offences.

It was alleged that on August 10 in Stanford-le-Hope he drove the car on the A13 at a speed exceeding the 40mph and the speed recorded was 49mph.

This case dismissed.

On September 20 in Billericay having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Essex he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

This case has been adjourned to May 25 for a non-standard reason for SJP Disqualifacation Notice, he must respond by May 18.

Ian Brown, 55, of Branksome Avenue, Wickford was in court for driving offences.

On August 9 in Southend he drove a car and failed to comply with a red light traffic signal, The vehicle was recorded contravening the red traffic light 4.2 seconds after the signal had changed to red.

He was fined £181, ordered To pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, costs of £90 and his driving record endorsed with 3 points.

Wayne Buckley, 28, of Meadow Lane, Runwell was in court charged with driving offences.

On August 24 in Chelmsford he a motor vehicle, when he was using a hand-held mobile telephone.

He was Fined £220, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £90.00.

His Driving record endorsed with 6 points.

On the same day and location, he drove the car when no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period.

There was no separate penalty.

Shaun Denholm, 54, of Philpott Avenue, Southend was in court over speeding charges.

On August 29 in Leigh he drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, on A13 at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour.

Contrary to section 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The speed recorded was 39 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

He was Fined £220, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, costs of £90 and his diving record endorsed with 3 points.

Laura Manvell-Church, 51, of Rectory Road, Benfleet was sentenced for driving offences.

On August 10 in Leigh she drove a motor vehicle, and failed to comply with a red light traffic signal.

The vehicle was recorded contravening the red traffic light 7.9 seconds after the signal had changed to red.

She was fined £100, and to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, costs of £90.

Her driving record endorsed with 3 points.

Jemma Perrin, 35, of Falbro Crescent, Benfleet was in court for driving offences.

On August 9 in Southend he drove a motor vehicle, and failed to comply with a red light traffic signal.

The vehicle was recorded contravening the red traffic light 3.4 seconds after the signal had changed to red, at a speed of 35 mph He was fined £58, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, costs of £90 and his driving record endorsed with 3 points.
