A GROUP of travellers have set up in a field behind a school.
Travellers have reportedly moved into a piece green belt land just south of Hinguar School in Shoebury.
Councillor Tony Cox says he has received numerous calls and emails from residents to report the incursion.
“The land is privately owned and attempts are being made to contact the land owner,” he added.
Essex Police and Southend Council have been notified.
Mr Cox said: “Residents are advised to report any concerns with ASB occurring to southendCSU@southend.gov.uk or if it crime, to Police via https://www.essex.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/ or 999 if it is an emergency in relation to this incursion.”
