THE original 150th FA Cup final BBC sign as seen on TV last weekend is up for auction – with the proceeds going to a Southend mental health charity.
The sign, which was on display in the studio behind Match of the Day presenters Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, and Micah Richards – who have signed it – is on sale on E-bay.
Currently listed at about £110, money raised from the sale will go towards the total raised at the Chris Barker charity game for SECE Mind at Roots Hall on Saturday, May 28.
The 150th FA Cup Final saw Liverpool triumph over penalties against Chelsea.
Aired live on BBC One, the final was tuned into by eight million people across the UK, with a further 4 million watching on BBC I-player.
The original sign from the studio was very kindly donated by the show’s producer to the Essex Echo’s sports reporter Chris Phillips.
