A HOTEL has undergone a £350,000 revamp, unveiling a new look lobby including a cafe and extra seating.

The Holiday Inn, at Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park, is hoping the new lobby will provide guests with a “multi-faceted public space to eat, meet, relax, socialise and work”.

Adam Judge, general manager for the Holiday Inn Basildon, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome guests to our new and improved Open Lobby space.

“There are so many options and areas to plug in or switch off, that I know our business and travel guests will love what we’ve done.

“The new Open Lobby will also appeal to those local to Basildon and networking groups in Essex as a desirable space to meet up.

“Customer satisfaction is a top priority for me and my team, and this refurbishment allows us to deliver our best service to date with no barriers between us and the guests”.

Key features of the new “open lobby” include free high-speed Wi-Fi, a “To Go”

Café where food and drinks are available around the clock and a versatile dining space with a range of seating.

Bosses at the hotel say, the multi-functioning zones will encourage guests to better utilise all areas and facilities in a way which works around their lifestyles and preferences, allowing them to blend work and leisure seamlessly, which, they have seen, has become a greater demand in recent times.

The hotel also says the “Open Lobby” will improve interaction between staff and guests as the front of house reception teams can be more accommodating.
