POLICE have charged six men as part of an investigation into the sale of drugs in the Southend area.

The investigation is being led by Essex Police’s drugs-specialist South Disruptor Team.

Officers carried out a series of warrants on Tuesday, May 24 and recovered a five-figure sum of cash as well as suspected class A drugs.

Six men were arrested and have now been charged:

• Charlie Rowell, 25, of Daws Heath Road, Benfleet, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possession of cannabis.

• Joseph Baldassarra, 28, of Coronation Close, Great Wakering, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and control of a thing knowing it was a counterfeit currency.

• William Innes, 29, Jetty Mews, Southend, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and possession of cannabis.

• Callum Parkinson, 23, of Thorney Bay Road, Canvey, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possession of cannabis.

• Wade Bush, 26, of Tintern Avenue, Westcliff, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

• Hayden Case, 24, of Queen Annes Grove, Hullbridge, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and control of a thing knowing it was a counterfeit currency.

They all appeared a Southend Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 25 and are next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on June 22.
