ANXIOUS flyers can have their troubles ruffled and nuzzled away thanks to a pack of furry friends.


London Southend Airport has enlisted an elite pack of dogs who have been expertly trained to provide extra support to passengers this summer.
The specialist ‘Top Dog’ passenger service support at London Southend Airport will be there for those who find travel more challenging.
Lovable and friendly, the Essex Therapy Dogs are the Airpaws team everybody wants to meet.

Glyn Jones, CEO at London Southend Airport, said: “London Southend Airport remains focused on delivering an excellent passenger experience. Therapy Dogs are a fantastic addition, aiding the confidence of our passengers who need a little extra support.
“We are delighted to be working with the dedicated founder and owners of the ‘Top Dogs’ from Essex Therapy Dogs. We cannot thank them enough for their amazing commitment to our passengers this summer.”


Tina Jullings, chairman and founder of Essex Therapy Dogs, is looking forward to the partnership with the airport.

The airport served around 2.3 million passengers in 2019, and offers services to around 40 domestic and European cities. The terminal has its own railway station less than 100m from its entrance, with up to six trains an hour at peak times to central London, taking just 43 minutes to London Straford and 52 minutes to London Liverpool Street. All airport car parks are located a short distance from the terminal entrance.
