Closed - Canvey Way remains shut
A MAJOR road is still closed more than 36 hours after a fuel tanker fire at the Sadler’s Farm roundabout.
Canvey Way is still shut coming on off the Island following the fuel tanker explosion on Wednesday night at around 5pm.
At the time of the incident, it took eight fire crews to tackle the inferno.

Emergency repairs are continuing to be carried out after the blaze.
But it is still unknown when the road will re-open.
All other roads in the area, apart from Canvey Way, are open.
However, for drivers coming off Canvey, they have to go through Benfleet due to the closure, which has caused queues of more than an hour.
