A property expert says cutting the price of a restaurant in a busy street could help push through a sale.

Pasta and Bread, in Hamlet Court Road, with the lease priced at £49,500.

Gerard Biagioni, from Dedman Gray also says it should remain as an Italian restaurant to ensure they remain a big hit in the area.

The owners of Pasta and Bread have also had to reduce their asking price as they prepare for retirement.

The restaurant is said to be “very traditional” with interest largely coming from other Italian restaurateurs.

Mr Biagioni insists the restaurant is in a good location in the heart of Westcliff and could once again prove to be very successful.

The estate agent added: “It’s one restaurant which has really suffered and taken a hit in the Covid pandemic.

“I think it should be this sort of business again, it’s a family-run business looking for new Italian owners.”

Mr Biagioni thinks cutting the asking price again could be the catalyst for more interest and even a sale.
